Set in 15th-century Ireland, The Dream Prince of Roses tells the story of Princess Florales, whose life is bound by duty but transformed by a love that defies time and death. From birth, Florales is promised to Prince Henry in a political marriage arranged by her father. When she is sent to Ireland for the wedding, she encounters Aaron, a young wandering bard whose music and gentle spirit awaken a love she has never known. They begin to meet in secret, exchanging roses as symbols of their devotion. During the royal wedding celebration, Aaron performs as a musician. Unable to bear their closeness, the jealous Prince Henry falsely accuses him of theft. Aaron is arrested and sentenced to die in the castle dungeon. Desperate to save him, Florales performs an ancient ritual described in a mysterious message delivered by a magical owl. Seven mystical monks, known as the Priests of Justice, appear and take Aaron away—not to death, but into a realm beyond the human world, where his soul remains trapped between life and eternity. Determined to bring him back, Florales seeks help in the enchanted forest. A fairy offers her immortality, allowing her to return to the human world for one day every hundred years. During these brief returns, she must discover the secret that binds Aaron and fulfill the conditions that will free him. Accepting the price of eternal waiting, Florales leaves her mortal life behind. Over centuries, she returns again and again, telling her story to strangers, keeping Aaron’s memory alive, and searching for a way to break the spell. A fortune teller eventually reveals the secret: each time she returns, she must burn a bird’s feather and carry a rose quartz, symbols that allow Aaron to cross between worlds. Yet even when she hears his distant flute, she fails to fulfill the ritual in time and must wait another century. As the centuries pass, her hope is tested again when a deceitful goblin tricks her into giving away the rose quartz. But the magical forces that watch over the lovers intervene, and Aaron briefly returns to her in a dreamlike encounter, restoring the stone and renewing the bond between them. Finally, after five hundred years of longing, Florales fulfills the conditions. On the summer solstice, she burns the feather and holds the rose quartz as Aaron’s music leads him back into the world of the living. They are reunited at last. The enchantment is broken, and Florales is freed from her immortality. Together they reclaim their lives, no longer bound by magic or time. It is said that they lived in happiness and that their love endured beyond death itself. Even now, on the evening of the summer solstice, when the sky glows in rose-colored light, their spirits can still be seen dancing together.
